Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang added to the far-left policies that Democrats seek to impose as part of their party’s climate change agenda. Yang’s climate plan includes targeting cattle and getting society to a point where people do not own their own cars.

“So you have this ability to envision the future, right? With your proposals on universal basic income, you’ve played the whole chess game out and you see what it looks like on the other end,” MSNBC’s Ali Velshi told Yang during MSNBC’s climate change town hall event. “Play the chess game out on climate change, the positive incentives … weaning off of fossil fuels and eliminating them possibly.”

“What does the world look like to you?” Velshi asked. “What does the world look like to you in 2050? What physically do you think we will do differently than we do today that will result in us fighting climate change?”

“We might not own our own cars,” Yang responded. “Our current car ownership and usage model is really inefficient and bad for the environment.”

During another wild moment during the town hall, Yang acknowledged that Democrats are indeed targeting cattle.

“Cattle is very energy-consuming and energy-expensive,” Yang said, adding that he wants to “modify Americans’ diets” by taxing ranchers that raise cattle, which will drive up the cost of beef so that people can’t afford to buy beef anymore.

Yang’s admissions of what the Democrats’ extreme climate policy proposals entail mirrors exactly what socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) $93 trillion “Green New Deal” states.

Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro wrote the following about Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal after it was released:

How bad is the Green New Deal paper? Putting aside the fact that, as written, it would receive a C+ in any high school English class, it essentially articulates a magical world in which the skies rain chocolate, the world is powered by unicorn farts, and AOC dances through the gumdrop meadows to Lisztomania. The proposal calls for the United States to be free of carbon emissions within 10 years without the use of nuclear power. It calls for every building in the United States to be replaced or retrofitted in green fashion. It calls for universal healthcare, free college education, the replacement of airplanes with high-speed trains, charging stations “everywhere” (this is the sort of exactness the proposal contains), replacement of “every combustion-engine vehicle,” government-provided jobs, family and medical leave, vacations, retirement security, and the abolition of “farting cows.” It also calls for total “economic security” for anyone “unable or unwilling to work.”

Yang, who is quickly revealing himself to be one of the most radical and fringe Democrat presidential candidates, said at CNN’s climate change town hall event that the “only issue” that he had with the Green New Deal is that it “would do away with commercial air travel and a lot of other things in a particular timeframe, that if we had a little more time we can head in the same direction and achieve most of the same values.”
